FROM TOKIO TO BERLIN - UNIQLOO PRE OPENING

Uniqlo has arrived in Berlin and I got a tour around the very huge new store at the Kudamm (Tauentzienstrasse 7) yesterday prior to its official launch which will be tomorrow.
Never have I seen a store with so many basics, from blouses in all colors of the universe to T-Shirts and polos, in plain colors, with prints, polka dots or stripes and prints - Uniqlo is filled with them. Quite fascinating actually! But that's what they specialize on, basics and making them functional for all aspects of life.
Uniqlo will be open the entire weekend (Sunday included) and they're offering quite some discounts for the opening weekend, like 100% cashmere jumpers with a 10€ discount and many more offers. So if you happen to check out the store this weekend you might as well take use of the discounts offered.

THE NEW AND FIRST EVER ADIDAS ORIGINALS FLAGSHIP STORE

So my busy day ended with a party with my Adidas Family after the fitting at Levis and the Blogger Event with Pepe Jeans. Jacky and me drove in her Smart across town while playing a game of "How many girls can we fit in a smart without getting caught and stopped by the police?" In case you wondered, we made it safe to our destination without being cuffed. And the answer is 4.
Adidas Originals opened their first ever flagship store, one of more to follow that will open in major cities across the world and Big B aka crazy Berlin had the honours of premiering.
The new store holds treasures like Opening Ceremony x Adidas Originals, so many amazing pieces from the Jeremy Scott collection (I'm a huge fan of every single collection he has dropped for Adidas!) and many more selected items representing Adidas Originals best. Of course I had to check it out and say hi to all the familiar faces.
The store is filled with so many great pieces and I have to admit I'm growing fonder and fonder of their collaboration collections such as Adidas Originals x Farm (L.O.V.E!!!! I had my eyes on this collection ever since I spotted a few pieces in one of the lookbooks back in October at the Adidas Style Room and I've been waiting for news about this collection to hit my inbox. One word: amazeballs! And still on my wishlist). It was super packed and the music was at full blast, but I still had the chance to squeeze past the happy crowd and fall in love with the fashion in store.

BETWEEN PEPE JEANS AND LEVIS

If you are reading this I'm either finishing of some uni stuff (starts next week. Nay!!) or I'm on my way to work at the final show of Face of Africa Germany that's going down tonight.
Last week, between our appointments Jacky and I took a minute to capture our outfits. I usually show you my outfit in the same event post, but I was dressed in so many different clothes that day plus we found a really nice spot by the water not far from the Pepe Jeans Showroom. All the more reason to make this a separate post. We were really lucky last week, the weather decided to be on its best behaviour. I'm not even wearing tights!

A DAY AT PEPE JEANS LONDON SHOWROOM BLOGGER EVENT

So after my fitting at Levis, Jacky and me got into her Smart and drove to our second appointment of the day, the Pepe Jeans event. In a relaxed atmosphere with Dominique, Vicky, Jacky, Anjelica, Anne, Marie and Mila from Pepe Jeans, who by the way is such a sweet heart and made us all feel very welcome and comfortable, we browsed through the new collection.

Pepe Jeans for me has been all about denim and they first caught my attention when they put my favorite football player Fernando (hot ass) Torres in a pair of jeans for a campaign back in 2006 or 2007. But they've come a long way since then and as I learned first hand in their showroom last week they're so much more than denim.

FITTING AT LEVI'S

Spent the entire Thursday, which was quite busy and super fun, with my girl Jacky and our day started at with a fitting with Levi's. Levi's invited us for brunch to the VEVO Lounge, a townhouse in Berlin, and a personal fitting with the Levi's Team. After the Grazia x Levi's event I've been quite a fan of the Levi's Revel. Tried on the perfect pair, but I never went home with one, sadly.
You know my problem when it comes to jeans that I like to call the African Bootylicious problem - big ass, tiny waist. Never have I felt more addressed than in Big Sean's A$$ "How your waist anorexic but then your ass is colossal? Whaaat?" My waist is nowhere near anorexic. But it's still tiny and the difference between my waist and butt section makes it nearly impossible to find a good fit jeans on the European market, especially when they're not low rise.

THIS IS MY MAGIC HOUR

My Magic Hour.. I remember those daybreaks after long party nights with my friends. We're on our way home, as one of points  to the sky "wow look at that sky today!" before my eyes fall shut and I wake up in my bed hours later questioning how I manage to get there safe.

My golden hours as day turns to night are usually spent during summer, somewhere at the Krumme Lanke while laughing with my friends and we forget ourselves, before we notice it has suddenly been dark for more than hour. And we get ready to skinny dip. There's the moment of freedom and carelessness in that magic hour and the sky, God's painting, corresponds.

So had to share them with you. It's so hard to catch a good sunset or sunrise these days… Quite frustrating if that's exactly what you intend to do.

#REDFRIDAY WITH A NEW LIPSTICK AND LIPLINER FROM BENI DURER

What's the best thing about Fridays? Weekend. That's true. What's the best thing about this Friday for me? Unpacking a package (I LOVE UNPACKING!) with a new lipstick and matching lipliner from Beni Durrer. And since it's #redfriday - just the perfect excuse to wear red lips. I'm so in love with this new lipstick because it's rich in pigmenation which is super important for me because of my dark skin and you know unfortunately drugstore makeup does not do it for me. It's the right shade of red. Ad with the lipliner I've learned to achieve the perfect red lips, which I'm willing to share with you below.

I made an easy 3-step tutorial on how to achieve perfect red kissable lips just like I do it. (To be honest it's the first time I'm actually implementing this 3-step tutorial myself, I usually skip the lipliner part and go straight for the lipstick. But alas! I've conquered the smudgy-lipstick-edges-problem. EUREKA! Lipliner before lipstick FTW!)
So next Friday, when you go out, be sure to wear red lips!

A FITNESS CLASS WITH NTC - NIKE TRAINING CLUB - IN THEIR BERLIN HOUSE STUDIO

Friday was actually my first time I entered the new Nike store at Berlin Ku'damm. I didn't make it to their opening because I was at lunch with The 7 Virtues and since then I haven't found time to check it out. On Friday I didn't go their to have a look at their new store or gear up on new fitness clothes (nothing keeps you more motivated than a pair of shoes, a new sports bra or the perfect fit fitness leggings right?) or Air Max 1. I was there to attend one of Nike's new fitness classes part of the NTC (Nike Training Club) program. Nike now offers, besides their really cool app with virtual trainers and progress tracking, fitnesses classes like yoga, Pilates, NTC, Core Strength, Dance and much more with real trainers in their own studio.

SEEK NO FUTHER POP UP STORE OPENING

Last week Seek No Further opened its doors to their new Pop Up store in the heart of Berlin Mitte. The store opening was quite a success, since the store was packed as Schwarz Don't Crack ?? for good tunes and the margaritas kept coming way passed closing time. Best margarita's ever! (Yes yes yes to melon and passion fruit margaritas straight from a slushy machine).
I enjoyed myself checking out the store during the press preview hours and had a closer look at the collection. I came back for the little welcoming party afterwards and even had a good chat with their London manager in the breezy night. Berlin's nights are becoming warmer and warmer. Hello Spring? (Let's not get too excited all yet. Don't wanna jinx it!) Perfect time to stop by for some Spring/Summer basics at their Pop Up Store. Seek No Further is the new premium line of Fruit of The Loom and offers clean cut basics and not so basic basics with a little twist made from different high quality materials. They are very experimental with textures and materials. A white jumper thats actually black but completely printed white? Or inside out jumpers? Already got my eyes on that slippers I saw and the dark printed dress. Definitely keeping Seek No Further on my watch list..

LEOPARD GOLD AND SABRINA DEHOFF

Some of my favourite winter accesories this season. My leopard hand shoes I got at H&M for I think 2€ years ago have been with me a while now. I recently rediscovered them in wardrobe and couldn't be happier about it because they give every outfit a little something. They're chic and total eye catchers, definitely the fancy kind of hand shoes.
As for the two pieces of jewelry, they were gifts from Valmano during the Valmano Experience night, where they invited us for a round of Bingo and Glühwein. I cannot be more thankful because I've always admired Sabrina Dehoff's jewelry and since its price is out of my league I kinda thought I won't be able to own a piece, at least not for now. So you can imagine how happy I was unboxing this. It's quite amazing what this blog has done for me and how it keeps showing me that nothing is impossible. I truly treasure this piece and try not to wear it everyday so it'll last longer before I wear it out with my love.
As for the Pilgrim necklace? It's a funny thing. If you know me you know I'm all about statement necklaces. Chunky huge ass necklaces that make you wonder how I carry around such a weight around my neck without dropping my head to the floor. The bigger the better, the more the merrier. But this simplest of simple necklace is actually one of my favourites atm and I'm practically wearing it daily. I tend to find much appreciation in the opposite extreme. If I'm wearing a big necklace, I wear this little one under my T-Shirt.

Spring is coming. Bye hand shoes for this season, but the jewelry stays..

A NIGHT WITH BOMBAY SAPPHIRE AND THE WORLD'S MOST IMAGINATIVE BARTENDERS

Last week I had the honor of being Bombay Sapphire's guest, a premium Gin label with an exotic touch, in their quest to for the World's Most Imaginative Bartenders. Unfortunately I didn't take any outfit pictures - or pictures at all to be honest, but I documented the night between the World Most Imaginative Bartenders and their self-created drinks with my iPhone in a sort of Instadiary. Clearly as the above depicts we were having way too much fun at Bar 1000, a little underground bar right at the water of Friedrichstr. 

I wore a my green silk dress, that . It's definitely too gorgeous to be kept in the back of my wardrobe and I should show you in a better outfit post some time. But it was one of those buys you know you won't be wearing so often but save it for special occasions and moments like this Bombay Sapphire Event. 

I enjoyed my night between music and my usual blogging partners in crime sipping away one Bombay Sapphire mix after the other and smartly dressed bartenders. Speaking of smart, Bombay Sapphire's brandmanager is such a piece of chocolate (pun intended ;) ), I wouldn't say no to a drink with him #fosho! Congrats to all the winners! 

We actually got two bottles of their finest bottles to take home. Those Bombay Sapphire bottles are super gorgeous and I can't wait to use them to decorate my room. I'm actually more excited about them being empty than endeavoring them.

Killed one bottle on the weekend with my friends, one more to go!

SELENA GOMEZ X ADIDAS NEO SS14 BLOGGER SHOOTING + GIVEAWAY (CLOSED)

The photo shoot took place in this amazing location which was empty and almost forsaken, but had pieces of gold all over the place. It was the perfect setting for our shoot. Edgy and with a twist, just like the collection itself. We got to play around and pull our own looks from the newly launched Selena Gomez for Adidas NEO collection which is now in stores. And after Hair & Make Up was done it was time to get started. Huge part of the collection is the flower print that comes in all sorts of pieces in Selena's collection and my favorite piece has to be the bomber jacket. Which is why it was part of my first look. I've kind of fallen in love with the pink sneakers which I weren't so sure about when I first saw them, but after styling them up I think they are perfect. THE PARFUM MENU - A VALENTINES DAY LUNCH WITH THE 7 VIRTUES

Everything has a story and this in particular comes with a nice one. Unlike charities, The 7 Virtues means business. Barb Stegemann doesn't play the good Samaritan by giving charitable donations at the end of the day to a country like Afghanistan. The 7 Virtues targets the root of such a nations' problem. Barb Stegemann fuels business.
Her honest approach is quite inspirational.
She creates business beneficial for both ends focusing on using ingredients from rebuilding nations like Afghanistan, Haiti, The Middle East and soon Rwanda by forming local jobs as those for Afghan farmers of the orange blossom plantations while keeping them of illegal opium plantations who in return supply her with the afghanistan orange blossom, inevitable and vital for the creation of her parfum. And we as end consumers get high quality parfumes to shop.
This is how a single purchase of a parfum can keep someone of an illegal plantation and change a man's life on the other side of the globe. To be honest this is the first time I truly feel business can happen on an equal win-win basis without exploiting the other party.

SATURDAY ROOFTOPS

Saturday was a lovely day in Berlin. It was sunny and it felt like spring was upon arrival. I spent my first half of the day working from the Aletto Hotel roof top. (So wanna come back up here when it's truly summer!). We were shooting for Face of Africa Germany. Well I was pretty much only observing and assisting, but I had my camera with me so at some point I took it out and it all evolved into little foto session up in the skys of Berlin. Also I couldn't help but snap these beauties in between the breaks and I just had to share these pictures with you.
For the day I choose my I don't know but I was really feeling the mix of glitter, jeans and leather dressed down casually paired with my favorite boho chic bag from Stradivarius and one of my coolest Weekday sneakers. Also I kinda tried the neckparty thing. Gotta find proper necklaces for a decent neck party. Anyway...

BACKSTAGE AT ALENA AKHMADULLINA PRESENTED BY MERCEDES-BENZ ELLE AND THE RUNWAY SHOW

This season was my first time backstage, backstage at a runway show. Backstage frenzy is mad. Mad in a capturing way - somewhat like a New York Minute. So many people in one room, everyone working their best. From photographers, to cameramen and video teams, interviewers and journalists for important magazines getting exclusives and in between the models have to get changed, dressed - but at least everyone has their own personal dresser. It's mad how everyone waits in line to shoot their two questions at Alena Akhmadullina while she takes minutes of her precious time to conversate, while she's still trying to keep a check on everything happening backstage because she's minutes away from her big moment. The moment her models walk the runway in her creative vision for the world to see.

"MODEL" OFF DUTY

Hahaha well not Model, but I was highly inspired by Stockholm Streetstyle's Model off Duty section for my post title today. Anyway as you know and saw on Instagram I had a shooting for Adidas NEO on yesterday and this is what I wore to it. I was a bit nervous because I'm not a model and although taking pictures of myself almost daily and posting them on my blog/facebook/twitter it is different when you are suddenly posing in a production full of professionals for a label with their team. I'm super lucky to have been in it with NEO because you know how much I really love the Adidas NEO team and how they always make me feel at home around them, plus I already knew the photographer personally and my co-"models" were my friends Annie and Chi. :D

DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS BEST FRIEND

The Diamond Tears by Monster are easily the most beautiful headphones on planet and I love mine to death which I got for my birthday end of last year. At this point, thank you again Monster! I don't leave the house without them anymore. As I said in my outfit post earlier, every time I'm out with them people keep staring at my ears. They're super fancy and a really really gorgeous set of headphones. I think the crystal colored ones (mine) are perfect for women. They also come in different colors as for example the black ones that will look good on men.
But what's more important is the sound quality that comes with them. Listening to my iPhone music feels like a whole new experience in comparison to my earphones before. Wow Apple earphones suck.. :/ I can easily listen to music on the highest volume without feeling deaf afterwards. What's even cooler is there is another hole where I can plug another set of earphones to mine, so I can listen to music with a friend.
I think the Diamond Tears are the perfect example of a great blend between quality and look; where technology meets design, as Noel Lee was going on about in his Keynote Speech during IFA.

I'M STILL SEXY WITHOUT QUESTION! GUESS JEANS + RED COAT

If I'm sexy without question lies in the eye of the beholder, but what I mean to say or the word that I'm missing in the title is feel. I still feel sexy without question and I think I won't ever get over how good these pair of jeans make me feel. Being sexy is all about an attitude and a feeling you perceive and the perception you give. It's not really about the clothes you were (or you're not wearing), it's about an inner feeling. And if that is your boyfriend's shirt, the little black dress or your backless top that makes you feel that way, so be it.
For me it's messy hair, red lips or these pair of great fitted jeans.

THE TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT VIP EXPERIENCE WITH KEDS

Not too long ago I visited the Taylor Swift concert here in Berlin's O2 Arena as Keds' special guest among Anni, Vreni, Mauri, Jan and a few media representatives. Keds invited us to come enjoy ourselves into their exclusive VIP Box (which is like a master suite of a hotel!) from where we had the best seats (they were even cushioned!) and had the entire O2 World in sight with just one glance. We were treated to delicious food and appetizers, great caesars salad and dessert, from which I had at least 10 - not kidding. And the champagne kept flowing as well. And shoes, lots and lots of shoes spread across the VIP Box, all from the upcoming SS2014 collection.

BEAUTY: LOOK - RED LIPS AND GOLD EYES FOR VALENTINE'S DAY

For Valentine's Day Kevin and I created an overall bronzy look and eye catching eyes with what's almost like a Must Do for the day of love: fire red lips. The center of attention of this look or better phrased - what makes this look work so well is highlighting, for which we used a bronze color by YSL and we also added a bit of the Zoeva blush that is rosy to give me that freshness and glow. We used the same bronzer on my eyelids, not only to match colors but also because it just really complements my skin tone. The eyelids were accentuated with a lighter bronze color from Topshop.

ABOUT FEELING STYLISH IN WINTER

In these dark cold winter days I love nothing more than my H&M Trend jumper that envelopes me in its warmth, cuddles me like a mother and caresses me like a lover. It's super cold outside but the dark days are over. Or so at least it feels. It's still cold outside, but the days are not deep blue anymore, they're sunny but cold.
I remember taking these pictures during one of those chill kissed deep blue days, where each breeze made me shiver and I was sure the Snowqueen was calling for me.

To be honest I don't know what I was doing taking outfit pictures outside. Being idiotic? It could have come close to a death wish, but I think I managed the art of looking good in winter without getting down with a flue or simply just freezing for once - for the first time, a skill I will never stop admiring the Scandinavians for. Deep down I felt a little Scandinavian timeless chic in my outfit and I will shamelessly admit this is probably my favorite outfit I've ever worn. So I had to capture it. For you, for me. But mostly I needed to record my advancement in the right direction towards looking great in winter while keeping warm.As you know I always wonder how they do it. How to strike the balance between being appropriately dressed and being stylish.
It's nourishing, it feels like an accomplishment and it feels good.

THE HUNKEMÖLLER SWIMWEAR COLLECTION LAUNCH EVENT IN BERLIN WITH SYLVIE MEIS

Two weeks ago Hunkemöller launched their swimwear collection for SS14 here in Berlin and Sylvie  Meis looking way too beautiful to handle - her silk rosy ensemble? Fab! - was a special guest since she presented her capsule collection for Hunkemöller as well. The event was really gorgeously laid out with palm trees and drinks filled in coconuts truly chaneling the summer vibe, all of it making me want summer so badly of course. In a relaxed atmosphere I had the chance to have a closer look at the collection. From pretty pastels to gorgeous tribals prints, to neon, graphic prints and classic black pieces, it's all there in this collection. My wishlist grew with every piece I saw and suddenly I had 10 more reasons why I need to look sharp this summer and hit the gym asap, because as Hunkemöller says, I plan to Make It Unforgettable! It being this summer..

LAST SUNDAY..

Last Sunday was my first time ever at a stadium. Adidas invited Annie and me to come hang out for a game for the fixture FC Bayern vs Eintracht Frankfurt. We had dinner prior to the game in Adidas' sponsors lounge within the stadium, dessert and more beer in the break and more dinner after the game. Just before the game was about to start we walked down into the arena and took our seats. The minute I laid eyes on that pitch I was blown away, I nearly dropped my beer. It was such a magical sight and I was hit by the atmosphere and spirit in that stadium right away. We had the best seats, we were so close to the pitch but far enough that we could still see the entire pitch in one glance. Well it was very hollywood with the rain and the little mist and slight fog, the cheering fans all in perfect synch, how everything stopped for a second as I took it all in, except that it was real and mother nature does not stage. I couldn't stop smiling and staring. The game was too perfect too, they won 5-0.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 3 - BREAD&BUTTER 2014// DRYKORN, MAVI AND MORE

My third day at Fashion Week started with a meeting with Point Rouge. We met over breakfast in a really cute restaurant in Mitte with just one handful bloggers. All I can say for now is that there will be lots of projects planned for this year, so stay tuned. Can't wait to uncover what they'll have in store for us, especially since part of my blog make-over is introducing more beauty and dedicating an entire section to it and I'm sure Point Rouge will have some great opportunities for everyone sat at that breakfast table that day.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 2 - BEAUTY LOUNGE, NOBIS, KICKZ AND CANCELING SOME SHOWS

On the second day I cancelled all my shows in the morning as I had run some very important last-minute errands for university. (Fingers crossed everything turns out well! If everything goes right, I'll be a lot happier in the next few months.) I was running late for my beauty appointments in the VIP Beauty Lounge so I sent my babe Carlinka to go in for me and get herself vamped up. I headed there to check on my beauty and they truly made her more gorgeous than she already is.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 1 - FIRST SHOWS AND BLUE YARD AND TOPSHOP PARTY

After a very busy Monday - ZEITmagazin Konferenz, Nokia workshop and partying a little too long at the Stylight aftershow party, I of course slept through my first show Ivanman at 10.30 but made it in time for the next thing on my oh so busy schedule: Lena Hoschek. And I'm happy I made it on time, because it was truly magical. Lena Hoschek never fails to wow with her shows. Although Lena Hoschek is not exactly my style, her shows want to always make me channel my inner lady and get lost in her vintage touch and the world of Pin-Up and sexy women. She's super retro in a really good way.

STYLIGHT FASHION BLOGGER AWARDS & THE AFTER SHOW PARTY

The international Stylight Fashion Blogger Awards were the perfect way to kick off Fashion Week. With all the talk and hate going on surrounding Fashion Week and whether a blogger's presence is ligimate and all, I really appreciated the blogger power going on on the first night of Fashion Week. Chiara Ferragni hosted the event together with Raul Richter (yes that's the guy from GZSZ) and one by one the winners received their awards but not until Mavi showed their new collection and there was a live performance by Andreas Wijk - blogger turned superstar (he's signed to Red One?! Hello?? That's the guy that made Lady Gaga famous!), who btw has an amazing voice! Still got "Alive aaaaliveeeee, I live for the moment" stuck to my head today which is the chorus to his new song.

Been browsing though online shops and kinda got hung up on inlovewithfashion. It's one of the very few online shops I've actually bought something from (Zara and ASOS being the other). THE NOKIA #LUMIA4FASHION WORKSHOP WITH MARCEL OSTERTAG AND JILA & JALE

My first day of this season's Fashion Week started with the ZEITmagazin conference from which I quickly rushed to Nokia's workshop with took place at the Stue Hotel (totally dreamy!). Reason for the workshop was the introduction of the new Nokia Lumia 1020 that has a 41 mega pixel camera and full HD video funktion. With a handful of bloggers all equipped with the Nokia Lumia 1020 we were ready to begin. Finally met Lu from Lu Zieht An (who btw is even more beautiful in reality) and Hai-Yen from Gisela is Back. Yay! The girls are sugar and super fun! The idea of the workshop was pretty cool. Nokia invited fashion designer Marcel Ostertag and Jila&Jale, you may know from Fashion Hero that aired on Pro7 not to long ago, to present some of their upcoming looks and designs. In a sort of private runway we sat there and snapped away, getting to try the camera out right away.

MINI UPDATE: I SURVIVED FASHION WEEK, I'M SICK AND MY BFF LEFT FOR NZ

I'm back. Almost. Well I'm still pretty sick suffering from the aftermath of Fashion Week in winter. How is it that the Scandinavians manage to maintain perfectly styled look, while being totally effortless I must add, during times where the thermometer drops below the 0°C mark? I was fucking freezing. And every day of last week coming home I was on the verge of going down with a flue. And I kept jeopardizing my successful quick recovering immune system by leaving the house the exact same manner the following day. It was almost like layering plus my double layer of 100den tights (currently 1€ at H&M! Go get some!) didn't matter.
Well my body said bye and I'm still down with an awful cold.
