FROM TOKIO TO BERLIN - UNIQLOO PRE OPENING

Uniqlo has arrived in Berlin and I got a tour around the very huge new store at the Kudamm (Tauentzienstrasse 7) yesterday prior to its official launch which will be tomorrow.
Never have I seen a store with so many basics, from blouses in all colors of the universe to T-Shirts and polos, in plain colors, with prints, polka dots or stripes and prints - Uniqlo is filled with them. Quite fascinating actually! But that's what they specialize on, basics and making them functional for all aspects of life.
Uniqlo will be open the entire weekend (Sunday included) and they're offering quite some discounts for the opening weekend, like 100% cashmere jumpers with a 10€ discount and many more offers. So if you happen to check out the store this weekend you might as well take use of the discounts offered.

ABOUT FEELING STYLISH IN WINTER

In these dark cold winter days I love nothing more than my H&M Trend jumper that envelopes me in its warmth, cuddles me like a mother and caresses me like a lover. It's super cold outside but the dark days are over. Or so at least it feels. It's still cold outside, but the days are not deep blue anymore, they're sunny but cold.
I remember taking these pictures during one of those chill kissed deep blue days, where each breeze made me shiver and I was sure the Snowqueen was calling for me.

To be honest I don't know what I was doing taking outfit pictures outside. Being idiotic? It could have come close to a death wish, but I think I managed the art of looking good in winter without getting down with a flue or simply just freezing for once - for the first time, a skill I will never stop admiring the Scandinavians for. Deep down I felt a little Scandinavian timeless chic in my outfit and I will shamelessly admit this is probably my favorite outfit I've ever worn. So I had to capture it. For you, for me. But mostly I needed to record my advancement in the right direction towards looking great in winter while keeping warm.As you know I always wonder how they do it. How to strike the balance between being appropriately dressed and being stylish.
It's nourishing, it feels like an accomplishment and it feels good.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 2 - BEAUTY LOUNGE, NOBIS, KICKZ AND CANCELING SOME SHOWS

On the second day I cancelled all my shows in the morning as I had run some very important last-minute errands for university. (Fingers crossed everything turns out well! If everything goes right, I'll be a lot happier in the next few months.) I was running late for my beauty appointments in the VIP Beauty Lounge so I sent my babe Carlinka to go in for me and get herself vamped up. I headed there to check on my beauty and they truly made her more gorgeous than she already is.

ZOOKIE THE NEXT LEVEL - OUTFIT WITH MY NEW BAG

I'm back from a more or less successful shopping trip. Got some stuff for Fashion Week. Anyway I wanted to show you my outfit with my new bag that I won from Zookie. It's from their new "The Next Level" Collection. Still got to show you the pics from the launch! So happy I won. Love the duffel bag, because it's perfect size and real suede. My big fat dslr camera fits along with my big purse and keys and lipstick and sunglasses and and and.. all at once! Also how perfect are my earrings? Love love love those since the day they arrived. Can't believe I haven't shown you any earlier..

7FAM "BLACK&WHITE" LAUNCH EVENT

Visited the 7 for all mankind store to support Amandine at her cocktail reception in celebration of the new 7 for all mankind Black & White collection. Fell in love with the pants. Had fun with Defne, Lisa and Nelly. Met René from Styleranking and I think I bumped into Franzi aka Zukkermädchen. If it's her, she's real zukker in reality.
My favorites from the collection are the white ones with the top to bottom rose gold zipper and the print ones. Seriously loving the mini collection. Such a shame it's limited edition and won't be in stores forever.

RED STRIPES GLITTER SKIRT

Hey Guys,

It's been a while since I posted an outfit post. Winter here in Berlin seems never ending atm and so I'm still walking around in my winter coat. I'm wearing my oversize coat that I bought at Pimkie maybe two years ago for 12€. It's actually not meant to be oversize, but I deliberately chose the coat in size 42 to give it the oversize look. Size 40/42 is my perfect oversize. Any tee/top/T-shirt transforms into a wearable dress for me in size 40. That's how tiny I am haha!
Anyway I wanted to thank all of you who participated in my Ostercountdown giveaway. It was quite a success and the winners have been chosen. I'm sorry if you weren't among the lucky ones, but I'm sure there'll be another great chance here on my blog soon!

WINDOWS PHONE 8 PARTY AND PORSCHE DESIGNS LAUNCH

Thursday night Lisa and I headed to the Windows Phone 8 Party which took place at the Lux 11. We played with the new phones from HTC and Nokia and there was even an X-Box to play with and Beats by Dre headphones (seriously want some!).
After that we stopped by the Porsche Design Party which was just around the corner with Ferdinand. Was a really fun night!
I was wearing a total rosé look. The glitter skirt is a present my really good friend Louisa (you've seen her a couple of times on my blog) gave to me for my birthday.

TODAY'S LOOK

It was a bit chilled today, so I wore my oversized coat again with my new favourite scarf.
I had an extremely short day (only 2 lessons) at school today for which I didn't even need any school material, that's why I'm not carrying a school bag. We were only going to listenen to a presentations, figured I might as well leave my bag at home.

Heute war es wieder etwas kälter, also hab ich meinen Mantel wieder rausgekramt und dazu meinen neuen Lieblingsschal kombiniert. Ich hatte heute einen sehr kurzen Schultag (nur 2 Stunden) und dafür brauchte ich nicht einmal Schulmaterial, aus diesem Grund ließ ich einfach meine Schultasche zu Hause. Heute sollten wir uns nur eine Presentation anhören, das war es dann auch schon für den Tag.

That red coat. I promised you I'll take a better shot of the red coat I originally wanted to return but then decided to keep and wear to the Windows Phone 7.5 Hotel, only, sadly you could hardly see it in the pictures. I wore it again to the Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards. By the way it's from H&M Trend. Jasmin kindly captured this look for me.

Ich hatte euch ja ein besseres Bild des Mantels, den ich ursprünglich zurück bringen wollte, dann aber doch behielt und zum Windows Phone 7.5 Hotel trug, aber auf den Bildern kaum zu erkennen war. Zu den Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards trug ich ihn wieder. Der ist übrigens von H&M Trend.

PREMIUM YOUNG TALENTS SHOWCASE

The day before yesterday I took Carina with me to the Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards that took place at the Galeries Lafayette. The winners of the Young Designer Awards in summer were honored with a special shop window decorated by the Window Dresser Award winner Ewen Gur.
And we were one of the guest invited to celebrate this.

Vorgestern ging es mit Carina zu den Premium Young Talents Showcase Awards, die im Galeries Lafayette stattfanden. Die Gewinner des Young Designer Awards letzen Sommers wurden mit einem Schaufenster des Galeries Lafayettes geehrt, dass vom Window Dresser Award Gewinner Ewen Gur dekoriert wurde. Und wir waren einer der Gäste, die eingeladen wurden, um dies zu feiern.

YESTERDAY IN THE PARK

What have you been up to lately? I'm enjoying the fact that I'm on autumn break for the next two weeks(yaaaaaa...aay). I discovered this romantic quiet park behind the busy Kudamm. Okay well my friends showed me and now we've been hanging out there the past couple of days.

Was habt ihr so tolles in den letzten Tagen gemacht? Ich genieße es einfach, dass ich jetzt 2 Wochen Herbstferien habe (yaaaa...aay). Ich habe letztens diesen romantischen, ruhigen Park hinterm vollem Kudamm entdeckt. Naja gut, meine Freunde haben ihn mir gezeigt und seit dem haben wir die letzten Tagen dort gechillt.
Ganz ehrlich, Berlin steckt voller Überraschungen.

Meet my new Pullover. Cozy, Norwegian style, oversized (still buying everything to big x) ) and only 3,50€. Love this pullover, it's so damn cozy and perfect for the transitional season. Good way to replace the fur coat and heavy jackets. And ofcourse I'm digging my Lady Gaga style sunnies I got from H&M. We are gonna be sunshine buddies.

Darf ich vorstellen? Mein neuer Pullover. Gemütlich, Norweger Style, oversized (Kaufe immer noch alles zu groß x) ) und nur 3,50€. Liebe diesen Pullover, er ist so übertrieben gemütlich und perfekt für die vorübergehende Saison (noch nicht Sommer, aber auch nicht Winter. Frühling halt ^^). Perfekt um den Fellmantel und die dicke Jacke abzulösen. Und natürlich liebe ich meine Lady Gaga Style Brille, die ich von H&M habe. Wir werden Sonnenschein-buddies sein.
