THE LEO FUR COAT AND PEARL JEANS

lois opoku leopard print fur coat outfit
Hey guys!

While you are reading this I'm going through my pictures from Fashion Week. January is going by in a rush! Right after Christmas I made huge hauls from Bershka and Topshop (got so many pieces for 10€) which I may or may not show you on my Youtube channel, depending on how I manage with time. The pants I got from Pull&Bear during the Cyber Monday/Black Friday sales, which I think I also linked in my Black Friday/Cyber Weekend sales guide, may be my fav new jeans. They are mom fit, which usually does not complement my figure at all, but I thought looked so cute that I ordered them anyway. This coat was a purchase just before Christmas and it's been keeping me warm since! I think a leopard print fur coat can be such a statement piece to own in your closet. It upgrades any casual look! Imagine that coat with black skinny jeans, similar boots, black pullover and a beanie. How cute is that for winter?

TO A NEW YEAR AND BEGINNINGS.. BUT FIRST DINNER WITH DEICHMANN

lois opoku deichmann blogger dinner lisforlois
Welcome to the first post in the new year! I've been offline for a couple of weeks on the blog and recently also on Instagram. I just needed a little time away from the Internet and the blog to refocus and reevaluate what I want from it, where I want this to go and realize if my heart is still in it.
2014 was good to me, no doubt, but I think I did get kinda lost somewhere along the lines because I was dreaming bigger than reality was, and making my dreams reality felt like being lost in translation.
I was lucky to have lived what are now memories of 2014 and because I appreciate all that's happend, I'll still be sharing a couple of events and things, that took place especially in the last months of 2014.
And one of those things was a magical night I spent with Deichmann in a fortress, the 4 walls of Schlosshotel Grunewald. Deichmann invited me and some pretty rad girls - some new faces, some old, (Hi Nina! Hi Vicky!) for a Christmas Dinner. I had a couple of those Christmas Dinners, but none came any close to the night with Deichmann.

BY MALI

Lois Opoku waterfall skirt streetstyle lisforlois
I shot some really awesome pictures with my friend Mali a little while back. I've shot a couple of outfit pictures in this location, yet I never realized how stunning this place could look in pictures.
It's all about perspectives.
Mali and me make a great team. Whoever is behind or in front of the camera, it feels comfortable, natural. And the results never fail to amaze me. Sometimes I can't stop taking pictures of her and I feel like I've got it, but she disagrees. I know it's not me, or the pictures. It's something personal. I really enjoy taking pictures of her. She's naturally beautiful and her style is amazing. Two things that make it impossible for me to stop pressing the shutter release.
She's perfect to practice photography skills on (of which I have none), and developing the eye, which seem like a pair of sunglasses I put on whenever I'm with her, shooting her.

I'm loving the pictures I've shot with her. Of course it would only be cruel not to share. Hope you enjoy jet another set by wonderful Mali.

I'm off to hang out with the Keds Team. See you on Insta!
@LisforLois if you have forgotten ;)

SEPTEMBER SUMMER

Palazzo pants kitty flats Streetstyle Lois Opoku
Been enjoying the last couple of days as summer decided to finally make an appearance. It's hard to believe it's October already and I'm turning 21 in 4 days. This year has passed by so quickly. It feels like my last birthday was just a couple of weeks back, but a complete year has passed. A complete year.
University is starting again in a week plus minus a couple of days, but it'd be like it's starting in a few hours given how I perceive time these days. Is it just me or is it like everything is sped up? Life is sped up? It's like life is stuck on rush hour. Like your thumb is stuck on the 4x fast-forward button on the remote control and there is no way to release it.
Time is not what time used to feel like.
This year I'm just gonna go through with uni, go to all classes, write all exams. Get it over with. Before I know it I'll have my bachelor degree in Business IT. It will feel like a few weeks. Life and time is passing me by and I have a hard time making the best out of it. Living in the now. People alway say "Live in the present! Enjoy every Moment"
How do they do it when you've lost complete feel for the measure of time. I for one feel in complete dissolution with time.

HIDDEN FOUNTAINS

Lois Opoku Summer Outfit Berlin lisforlois
Summer is definitely coming to an end in Berlin, although we enjoy the occasional hot days every now and then which were truly missed during the actual summer months and honestly it feels like August again. Something like September Summer?
I'm loving the backdrop of today's pictures. This huge ass fountain completely out of place. I have walked passed it. Several times. Often actually.
Anytime I'm on my way to my best Friends house after gym.

Sometimes you walk through the world, blind, completely shutting out your surroundings, and then you open your eyes and discover treasures. Treasures that have been there all along. Treasures you've seen ever so often before, but never took a minute to appreciate. And sometimes you happen to have you're camera along with you and you can capture those places, that moment.
It looks like I'm in Bali right? Oh Bali, I so desperately want to discover you.
This is my little Bali getaway right here in Berlin.
This is as close as I'll get to Bali this year.
I'm coming for you next year, Bali.
I've started saving.

THE HUNKEMÖLLER SWIMWEAR COLLECTION LAUNCH EVENT IN BERLIN WITH SYLVIE MEIS

Hunkemöller Swimwear Berlin launch Lois Opoku lisforlois

Two weeks ago Hunkemöller launched their swimwear collection for SS14 here in Berlin and Sylvie  Meis looking way too beautiful to handle - her silk rosy ensemble? Fab! - was a special guest since she presented her capsule collection for Hunkemöller as well. The event was really gorgeously laid out with palm trees and drinks filled in coconuts truly chaneling the summer vibe, all of it making me want summer so badly of course. In a relaxed atmosphere I had the chance to have a closer look at the collection. From pretty pastels to gorgeous tribals prints, to neon, graphic prints and classic black pieces, it's all there in this collection. My wishlist grew with every piece I saw and suddenly I had 10 more reasons why I need to look sharp this summer and hit the gym asap, because as Hunkemöller says, I plan to Make It Unforgettable! It being this summer..

FUR COATS AND DISCO PANTS

fur coats and disco pants Lois Opoku lisforlois
First outfit post of 2013! Sorry for not much happening here in the first week of the new year, but how have you been holding up? Made any new years resolutions? I'm working hard on my new blog, the new L is for Lois and I can't wait for it to go live. I'm just really sick of my ugly ass layout that I pieced together upon opening this blog. I really need some changes. In my life, my blog and the future.

I should really wear my disco pants more often. For me it was more of my going out /going clubbing fancy pants, but I think it works perfectly fine during the day. This winter so far has been all about my Zara pimp coat, even if it makes me look like a little puff ball.
About turtlenecks, I hated those to the moon and back because I always felt like they would strangle me and of course my mom would force me into those every winter during my child hood. This one I'm wearing is actually one of my favorite jumpers this winter. I bought it myself from H&M Trend last year and I kind of think turtlenecks are super chic. Funny how you hate one thing and then a few months later it can become your most favorite thing. What have you hated, then suddenly loved?

PRESS DAYS APRIL 2013

This season I did not rush to all Agencies. I checked out Ontime PR and discovered Zoeva, got a few products from Tony&Guy's hair meets wardrobe collection that I'm very eager to try out, stopped by Schröder&Schombs to visit Franklin&Marshall and had a closer look at Wranglers Spa Jeans and also checked out Urban Outfitters and G-Star (you know G-Star is special for me. The seasonal Bread & Butter fashion show is a must and a fashion week highlight for me!) plus also I got to see the upcoming collection from Aubade Paris up close. Love this brand since Vogue Fashion Night Out 2012. They've got the most amazing underwear. Finally I looked at top brands like Hugo Boss and Michael Kors, amazing of course!

IN HAMBURG WITH ADIDAS

A few weeks ago I traveled to Hamburg for a day to visited the Adidas Style show room. I looked at the upcoming collections like Adidas Neo - this time designed by Selena Gomez, Adidas Originals and the Jeremy Scott x Adidas Collection that's totally crazy as usual. (Still in love with those Jeremy Scott x Adidas wings sneakers and the leopard shoes. Not kidding I'd totally wear them out.) I really liked what I got to see especially the Mc Nasty T-Shirt that's from the men's section I guess and the Adidas Neo sneakers with the removable bands adding little twist as detail. But there were many more pieces to look out for in autumn, when the collections hit the stores.
But other than looking and rating and discussing the new collection or eating as much mini burgers and dessert (they were so good!) as we want, we got to get a bit creative and pimp our very own T-shirts. I might show you mine in an outfit post.
A enjoyed a lovely day in Hamburg and the weather for once was at its best. The sun kissed my face as I sat next the harbour sipping Moscow Mules and Hugos while chatting to the other bloggers and the Adidas Team watching the ships passing by...

ZANOX EXPERT DAY 2013

The Zanox Expert Day was a great opportunity to communicate and get know some experts in the field of advertising and monetarizing all the great work one puts in a blog, as well as talk to representatives of brands like Otto and Douglas. While being spoiled with delicious food at the afterwork party I enjoyed a nice day getting to know new faces.
Again this time the atmosphere was great and I felt free to talk to the experts and learn new things about blogging and widening my horizon. Of course it would be a dream to live from blogging, but there is so much work that needs to be done and a lot of effort and dedication and know-how involved. The Zanox Expert Day served as a plattform for us, the bloggers - the creative end of it all - to win a bit more know-how.

7FAM "BLACK&WHITE" LAUNCH EVENT

Visited the 7 for all mankind store to support Amandine at her cocktail reception in celebration of the new 7 for all mankind Black & White collection. Fell in love with the pants. Had fun with Defne, Lisa and Nelly. Met René from Styleranking and I think I bumped into Franzi aka Zukkermädchen. If it's her, she's real zukker in reality.
My favorites from the collection are the white ones with the top to bottom rose gold zipper and the print ones. Seriously loving the mini collection. Such a shame it's limited edition and won't be in stores forever.

THEOPHILUS LONDON IN CONCERT FOR FASHIONATION BY PEEK & CLOPPENBURG

Okay so ever since I started my blog I've been luckily enough to attend so many amazing events, but some of them feel special and one of those kind of nights was last Tuesday. Theophilus London was in town for a privat concert held in honour of the Fashion Department by P&C sponsored by Disaronno.
The night was simply amazing. I had the best time of my life with my bestie Louisa and I was so happy to be joined by Lisa, Defne, Dogi and Luca. The music was beyoooond and we were dancing like there's no (school) tomorrow. So when Theophilus London played Louisa's and my favourite song, Big Spender, we naturally went off.
