On the second day I cancelled all my shows in the morning as I had run some very important last-minute errands for university. (Fingers crossed everything turns out well! If everything goes right, I'll be a lot happier in the next few months.) I was running late for my beauty appointments in the VIP Beauty Lounge so I sent my babe Carlinka to go in for me and get herself vamped up. I headed there to check on my beauty and they truly made her more gorgeous than she already is.
But more on the lounge in a separate post.
Caught up at the VIP Beauty Lounge at the Mariott Hotel I missed my next show Malaikaraiss, which truth be told was beyond amazing as always. I arrived a little to late at the tent and nearly made me miss my next thing on my busy schedule. Here's what we missed - my top 4 looks:
From there I took the shuttle service with Lisa to my next appointment: the Nobis installation held at the Microsoft house. Nobis is a fashion label specialized on winter outerwear. I loved the whole installation, since it was arranged differently from the usual catwalk shows or the studio presentations. The architect of this did an amazing job. As for the clothes, I wanted to steal that orange hat right of the little model and the jackets looked super comfortable.
After Nobis I headed straight over to the party to support the boys over at KICKZ Torstraße. Music was so good I didn't bother to call a cab to take me back to the tent for Dawid Tomaszweski.
We stopped by the Bestseller event, which was really great last winter, so I was looking forward to it, but somehow ended up at the Döner Kebab next door 10 minutes later and decided to call it a night. That evening with Lisa was really what I needed, spending some quality time together in a long time. Doing some shows and events together and finding a minute to relax and catch up on our lives.
Day 2 I was fighting a cold (which caught up with me on the day after fashion week and really hit me good). Taking the freedom to skip some shows was really what I needed. Sometimes that's just the way it is a fashion week, there are so many parties and events going on at the same time, but sometimes you just end at McDonalds or Burger King or in my case at Ali's Döner Kebab with a friend and treasure the moment, think about what you've seen so far and what more is to come.
Even with a mapped out tight planned schedule, fashion week can be so unpredictable some times.. And you just got to go with it and enjoy it.
