MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 2 - BEAUTY LOUNGE, NOBIS, KICKZ AND CANCELING SOME SHOWS

On the second day I cancelled all my shows in the morning as I had run some very important last-minute errands for university. (Fingers crossed everything turns out well! If everything goes right, I'll be a lot happier in the next few months.) I was running late for my beauty appointments in the VIP Beauty Lounge so I sent my babe Carlinka to go in for me and get herself vamped up. I headed there to check on my beauty and they truly made her more gorgeous than she already is.

MBFW BERLIN FASHION WEEK: DAY 1 - FIRST SHOWS AND BLUE YARD AND TOPSHOP PARTY

After a very busy Monday - ZEITmagazin Konferenz, Nokia workshop and partying a little too long at the Stylight aftershow party, I of course slept through my first show Ivanman at 10.30 but made it in time for the next thing on my oh so busy schedule: Lena Hoschek. And I'm happy I made it on time, because it was truly magical. Lena Hoschek never fails to wow with her shows. Although Lena Hoschek is not exactly my style, her shows want to always make me channel my inner lady and get lost in her vintage touch and the world of Pin-Up and sexy women. She's super retro in a really good way.

FUR COATS AND DISCO PANTS

First outfit post of 2013! Sorry for not much happening here in the first week of the new year, but how have you been holding up? Made any new years resolutions? I'm working hard on my new blog, the new L is for Lois and I can't wait for it to go live. I'm just really sick of my ugly ass layout that I pieced together upon opening this blog. I really need some changes. In my life, my blog and the future.

I should really wear my disco pants more often. For me it was more of my going out /going clubbing fancy pants, but I think it works perfectly fine during the day. This winter so far has been all about my Zara pimp coat, even if it makes me look like a little puff ball.
About turtlenecks, I hated those to the moon and back because I always felt like they would strangle me and of course my mom would force me into those every winter during my child hood. This one I'm wearing is actually one of my favorite jumpers this winter. I bought it myself from H&M Trend last year and I kind of think turtlenecks are super chic. Funny how you hate one thing and then a few months later it can become your most favorite thing. What have you hated, then suddenly loved?

YOUGHURT DATE

Met up with some of my fav blogger babes Ina, Dogi, Lisa and Caro a few weeks back. We'd all been invited to Youghurt to try some of their new dishes they've just updated to their menus and the infamous American Cronuts (Croissant + Donut. Totally forgot to try those! :( Such a shame!) so we figured why not all go together and have our meeting there over brunch. We were planning a project which has been put on hold for now. Oh well.. Let's see what 2014 will bring.
Youghurt sells more than waffles and frozen yoghurt now. They've included savory meals such as soups and salads. I recommend the chicken salad. Comes in a super big bowl and that dressing is beyoooond!
I also had a waffle and couldn't resist that Raffaelo cream sauce topping once again.

BIG WATCHES, KITTY FLATS AND THE MAGIC OF ST. OBERHOLZ

St. Oberholz is a great place to get some work done. It's a small cafe in Berlin Mitte and the dress code is: Bring your Laptop (Macbook to be precise..).  I've had a few business meetings here. And I always left the place enriched, inspired and ready to conquer the world with new ideas.

Last time I was at St. Oberholz with a group of friends we were working on #THESECRETPROJECT (News will follow. Details as well... Time will tell) which has kind of been put on hold for now. Oh well... How awesome is my XXL sized watch please? It's by Festina UK and was a gift from Valmano I got to keep after my shooting for Powerkeks PR. It's one hell of a watch, but I've just discovered that I'm really into huge watches on my wrist. Yeah I'm that girl. Kinda like Go Big or Go Home! My kitty flats that I got from Mirapodo have been safely tucked away until next Spring. How I will miss those! I was practically living in them 24/7..

PATRIZIA PEPE "GOLDENIZED" CAPSULE COLLECTION LAUNCH IN BERLIN

Last week Thursday I was invited to the launch event of Patrizia Pepe's Goldenized capsule collection.

The campagne that features fashion bloggers Sylvia Haghjoo, Patricia Manfield and one of my very favourite, Gala Gonzalez was shot by Berlin based street style photographer Sandra Semburg and Nima Benati just two days prior to the launch right here in Berlin at one of my secret hotspots I've recently taken lots of outfit pictures at. Have you guessed? Yes, it's the Museumsinsel. The campagne looks amazing and it's great to see the fusion between a designer label, fashion bloggers and a street style photographer. This campagne is the perfect example of the rising influence of fashion bloggers. Bloggers are the new models, new It girls, new faces and as the latter the new ambassadors.

Our passion for fashion and our following allows us to be taken serious in the fashion industry and end up on posters and displays in stores. No wonder Patricia Manfield, Sylvia Haghoo and Gala Gonzalez were asked to bring a little girl power to the campagne. Besides the street style flair shots there are also classic fashion posters for the campagne that also features the three lovely bloggers.

GEOX ON TOUR STOPS IN BERLIN WITH FACEHUNTER

Last week the #GEOXONTOUR made a stop in Berlin and the store at Friedrichstraße momentarily turned into a shoe heaven for all invited bloggers as we were allowed to choose from any pair in the entire store to take home with. Shoe boxes everywhere and girls trying on a million pairs while Dandy Diary handled the DJ Set - pretty much last weeks scenario. Meanwhile Yvan Rodic aka Facehunter, possibly one of the most famous streetstyle photographers was there to present his streetstyle book and snap some of the guests for GEOX. On the side note: I have been facehuntered before. Very funny picture actually...

Anyway I was kinda going back and forth between choosing the love of my life (the most perfect shoe - it was love at first sight) and being reasonable (boots for winter. kinda in desperate need of those.). I spent probably an hour doing what I do best: being indecisive, when deep down I know damn well what I want and how the story's gonna unfold.

GRAZIA LOVES LEVI'S: THE NEW LEVI'S REVEL JEANS

Last Thursday Ina and I headed to the Grazia x Levi's Shopping Night, which was a ladies-only event organised by Grazia as sort of an Meet&Greet between Grazia and readers, but the actual highlight of the night was the presentation of the new Levi's Revel Jeans, which I have to admit fit quite amazingly and make a really good ass. With drinks by Ciroc (SO GOOD!!) and finger food, we had the chance to shop all night with a 15% discount all accompanied by a DJ set. But what was more exciting was the fact that we had the chance to get styled by Grazia and complete the look with Make Up by Rituals and get snapped infront of the Levi's photo wall.

Ina and I took the opportunity for a styling session with the Grazia Team and with Mirjana we searched the store for nice outfits. After waiting for what seemed like forever (the store was packed!) but with drinks to get by, Ina and I made our way into the changing room and I finally got to slip the new Revel jeans over my legs. Kinda digging my all jeans look. Check out the pictures below.

ADIDAS STYLE ROOM

"Unite all originals" is next year's big over all theme at Adidas and therefore Adidas is reviving some of their old historic classics as for example the ZX850 sneaker.
As for Adidas Originals in particular - next season in honour of the World Cup to be held in Brasil, Brasil itself has become an inspiration which is visible in the Adidas Originals collection in form of footballs printed all over pullovers or simply the color green and jungle prints as a reoccurring theme.
And what's happening at Adidas NEO? Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will be designing another collection for Adidas NEO next season. Already got my eyes set on Selena's bomber jacket with the sheer arms and floral details.

HÖR AUF DEIN HERZ CAMPUS WITH COKE LIGHT

Heart disease is the number one killer amongst women living in Germany, not cancer as most people would presume. This is what I learned at the Coke Light Hör auf dein Herz Campus an initiative supported by Coke Light.
With the right diet and a good amount of sports each week you all can contribute to the health of your own heart. I enjoyed the day at the campus since it was a good mix of information and learning by doing. The interactive cooking lessons with those cute guys (who actually have their own restaurant here in Berlin) and a bit of sports with a personal trainer, the medical check up (can't wait to receive my results and find out what my heart is like) and talks with Palina Rojinski, Nadja Uhl and experts all contributed to a good day where I did learn a lot.

BREAKFAST AT SOHO HOUSE

How are you today? I had breakfast at the SoHo House this morning and met up afterwards with my best friend to plan my birthday. I'm out and about today but just found a quick minute to share today's outfit with you. Weather is amazing today and I'm about to head out with Ina to take some pictures. After that I'm headed to the Muro.exe shoe launch and the Weekday Men's wear collection presentation with my friend Miles. Can't wait to hear his judgy self have a take on both launches tonight.

IFA WITH BABYLISS: MY FIRST TIME AT IFA

What does a fashion blogger do at a electronic trade show? It's not that farfetched. After all I am a consumer and I consume goods. So I was here to check out the latest consumer goods that are of interest to me.
The reason I visited IFA in the first place was because BabyLiss invited me to come check out their newest products and for some hair styling. Since I'm having extension (however I still use the BabyLiss curling iron that I got at the Berlin Blogger Meet Up to curl my extensions every now and then. And it has worked well til now without burning my face of xD ) I asked Louisa my best friend to test the products for you.

DOUBLE DENIM AND A BEANIE

If you ask my friends to play the association game and my name came up, especially during winter, pretty much all of them would say: neon pink beanie.
Ah my beloved neon pink beanie. It actually became my trade mark. You couldn't see me in the dark, but when you saw a 1-50 midget (I'm taller than 150!) with a neon beanie at far you could be 100% sure it was me. Adidas Neo sent me this cute beanie that can be worn inside and out. Good thing I have more beanies to choose from for this fall/winter. They're having a "How do you rock your beanie?" MUSIC MEETS MEDIA 2013

When you get a call in the morning from Point Rouge asking you to accompany them, throwing all your previous plans for the day over board and you end up walking the red carpet at the Music Meets Media at the Grande Esplanade you don't simply say no. I was planning on doing a bit of Vogue FNO with my best friend and stop by the Grey Goose cocktail I was invited to.

AMERICAN APPAREL OPENING AND A BEAUTIFUL NIGHT IN BERLIN

A few days ago American Apparel opened another store situated right at Hackescher Markt, Oranienburgerstraße. It's much bigger than both of the other stores we have here in Berlin. I brought two of my really good friends with me (You probably already know my best friend Louisa from all my pictures and parties she attends with me.) and we enjoyed a night having a look at the new store and sitting outside enjoying some drinks (they were really good!) and Berlin's warm summer night breeze.
The dress I'm wearing is actually a top from Zara I bought in Size L to make it look like a dress. The perks of being tiny - anything L is a dress!
