Hey guys!
How have you been? I've finally been able to upload my first fashion week diary. And like in true old fashion I will take you along my day from morning to end and show you my outfit. Although I didn't do particularly much on day one as opposed to the million shenanigans I used to be up to, I had a fun day that left me tired and happy to be in bed afterwards.
Scroll down for outfit details. (All the way at the end of the post like always ;) )
Let's get started.
NINA ATHANASIOU Presentation
This actually took place on Day Zero, right after the Olympus PEN gallery opening. After receiving an invitation to New York Fashion Week from Nina Athanasiou and not being able to fly out to New York I was excited to see her capsule collection The Big Bash here in Berlin. It was in collaboration with superduper model Shaun Ross, who's face she plastered across all her pieces throughout the collection. Although it may seem strange at first to have someone's face all over your dress a million times, Shaun Ross' visage actually makes a beautiful pattern and I really like how the design of the material turned out.
I Like!
Shaun Ross himself was present at the party and a few German celebrities.
RODENSTOCK Presentation
SoHo House has become THE spot to present the latest collections. So one of my first appointments with Joeva was right here of course. I stopped by to discover Rodenstock, Jil Sander, Rocco and Bogner eyewear which are part of the Rodenstock brand that has a long standing in History. It was
pleasure to finally discover the brand, browse through their archives, their oldest models were amazing(!) and we even got to choose one of their sunglasses. I choose the pink one which I wore throughout the day immediately!
BEAUTYLOUNGE Makeover
Every season I have an appointment with my dearest Roxana and we keep trying out the craziest makeup looks. I usually just sit there and let her have a go and fun with colors on my face. This time I opted for a blue smokey eye to go with my nude/flesh dress and blue killer heels.
GUIDO MARIA KRETSCHMER Perfume Launch Cocktail
After having had my make-up done we headed downstairs for the Guido Maria Kretschmer cocktail party in honour of him launching his male and female scents with LR Beauty. The Catwalk bar was the location for the party and it looked like straight outta GossipGirl. I didn't take any pictures of me there, but you'll see it all in my Fashion Week Follow Me Around video :)
CADENZZA Rooftop Cocktail
Next I headed to the Cadenzza Rooftop Cocktail. Beautifully set and decorated, tucked quietly above the Cookies & Cream in what seemed like a secret garden, I wined & dined with Cadenzza as the sun began to set. Cadenzza is a jewelry store that holds the most amazing treasures from my favourite jewelry designers such as Anton Heunis, Sabrina Dehoff (MAJOR LOVE for these two) to Shourouk jewels often spotted on Kristina Bazan, they have all a girl wants. And Cadenzza just recently opened a new store on Friedrichstraße.
Btw I tried the most amazing tasting desert ever here.
MARCEL OSTERTAG Runway Show
via Diana Delo
My only show during Day 1 was Marcel Ostertag, that took place in the magnificent Admiralspalast. This seasons collection was entitled DESERT and the fashion movie/collection trailer and bts footage prior to the runway show clearly showed Marcel Ostertags association with Desert and the inspiration he pulled from it. The show was good, the collection too. I loved the hot pink pieces and nude dress in combination with that bomber and heels while the dark blue evening dresses were clear highlights from the collection. It started pouring cats and dogs as I headed home to change for the Adidas Turbular Gallery Party before I wanted to meet up with Joeva again. I had several party options for that night (Bread & Butter Party which used to be legendary but more important Luise's bday), but once I got home I couldn't motivate myself to head back out and celebrate with my Adidas family nor could I reach Luise. I think I'm getting old.. I bailed on a few parties this season because by the end of the day I felt too fatigued. Marcel Ostertag was a good way to end the day and the Hans im Glück burgers and sweet potato fries going round at the aftershow reception a good dinner!
