INTRODUCING UNITED NUDE

Creativity at an ultimate Level I Kreativität auf einem ultimativem Level

Looking through some of my designs of my room (I redesign it a lot on paper), there has been an element that dates back to 2006 and has been in each design. The illuminated shoe case. It's an simple ikea bookcase with lights in each department. Now I'm not a light architect, but I figured I could put a little lamp at the top of each department hence the name illuminated shoe case.
Now take this idea and multiply it across an entire wall, turn of the main lights, put that of the shoe case on : Welcome to the United Nude Store.
This is what I mean with taken creativity to another level.

Going to an United Nude store must feel like going to an art exhibition, only that you can buy your favorite piece of art and take it with home. :D
I can't wait till I finally get to enter one of their flagship stores. Ultimate experience!

Their shoes are crazy, odd, weird! They are so freakishly creative, infact my first response upon seeing United Nude shoes was "What is this crazy shit?!" quickly followed with a "It's awesome!"
Love at first sight.
The designer duo behind this label is Rem D Koolhaas and Galahad Clark, an architect and a shoe maker, and it was founded in 2003. After reading more about them my appreciation for their designs grew even wider.
Their shoes are like pure art to me and the more I look at them the more I appreciate them. I love the architectual touch and the creativity behind United Nude and simply the idea of combining fashion with architecture.
Truth is, I've been wanting to become an architect but also a fashion designer for a while. United Nude makes both happen :)

United Nude collaborated with Iris van Herpen, a dutch designer.

It took my a while to actually like these shoes, simply because I found the lines too distracting and I couldn't make up my mind whether this was a wedge or a heel. Today I adore this shoe and love the deceiving effect. The brown model is also one of my favorite designs. But you'd never catch me in the first pair (white) as they are just too odd for me :)

Another reason why I love United Nude is that even though they are so crazy their designs are still totally wearable! (Can't say that about Lady Gaga)
They've become my ultimate inspiration pump and fueled me to believe that everything is possible, dream bigger and combine possibilities.
We'll be an never ending love story. If United Nude was a man, this would be the moment I'd ask him to marry me :P

My top 6 favorite shoes in no particular order. It was hard picking them out. Naturally, there are also some shoes that I don't like, but I look at them with different eyes now.

I'd love to wear United Nude shoes to Fashion Week this summer. Fashion week feels like a free pass to wearing crazy outfits, things you don't wear during your everyday life unless you are Lady Gaga ofcourse.
The only legimate time of the year you can to go all gaga/experimental when it comes to dressing. And these shoes are made for Fashion Week (not that I wouldn't wear them every other day anyway :P) They are stunners and immediate eye catchers ;)
Infact they've got my mind spinning over potential outfits to Fashion Week.

Created to inspire.
I believe that that is the reason behind Lady Gaga... ahhh I could go on for hours with my theories on human behaviour! Maybe I should become a psycologist :P More on my Lady Gaga theory another time ;)

We owe United Nude and Lady Gaga a lot, they make up for the lost hope, creativity and fantasies in the oh so boring people of our lost society.
This is as obvious as inspiration can get. And we need to welcome it with open arms and appreciate it.

Love Lois xxx

Ps: See you in a week! Off to Florence :D

pps: What do you get when you cross an architect with a shoe maker? United Nude ;P

INTRODUCING JESSE J

Jesse J. This Girl is beyond amazing. My brother introduced me to her music a few weeks ago and since then she's been on repeat. I downloaded her album (booo me!), because I just had to hear more from her.
Suddenly I hear her everywhere I go, she's quickly gaining fame.
Why I love her? Because she got the message and the right tunes to accompany them. And she can actually sing. Listen to her hammer vocals! You go girl, may she stay down to earth :)
What do you guys think of her?

•••

Weiter so Jesse, bleibt bodenständig :)
Was haltet iht von ihr?

INTRODUCING 7TRENDS

ONLINE SHOP WITH BRIGHT FUTURE I ONLINE SHOP MIT GROßER ZUKUNFT

A few weeks ago I stumbled across this really cool Internet Shop and I must say I was immeadiately liking it. It wondered how I never knew about this shop, until that day. 7Trends is not the ordinary or just another Online shop, but actually sells Designer Looks for affordable prices. They have an amazing range, they really have great pieces, they sell.
Their very own fashion editorial department introduces the new trends, shows the looks of the Stars and informs about the season's must haves. They also have a Blog: The Tailor (must read!) as well as Fashion Guides on the shop's page. What I really liked, is that they have an Online Magazine. You should check it out.
The shop is Berlin based and offers clothing from top Labels, that are hard to get in Germany (or you pay a hell of a price for shipping alone!) and other known labels.
Since the beginning of this year they have a partner shop Enamora for Dessous, Underwear and swimwear.

Definitely a plus: Shipping fees and returning are free of charge in Germany. They also ship to the EU for little money ( around 5€, if you spend more than 100€ it's free :) )

They are having a major Sale at the moment. And if you don't find anything there, which I don't think, you'll can check out their weekly offers.

Ihr Konzept: "We help you style."

INTRODUCING ELIN KLING

BLOGGER+FASHION LABEL= ELIN KLING FOR H&M I BLOGGER + MODELABEL= ELIN KLING FÜR H&M

via stylebykling

It's the first blogger collaboration in fashion history: Elin Kling and H&M. Elin Kling has been blogging since around 2007 on stylebykling and her blog has been a hit in Sweden, where she comes from. Now she was lucky enough to design pieces for H&M and they will hit the stores soon. Unfortunately they are available eclusively in Sweden from February 3rd.
She has worked for "Solo" magazine and "Express" before but sometime at the beginning of this year, she will have her own Magazine! Way to go, Elin!
I checked out her blog and I love her style. But you can see for yourself: stylebykling or above(at least some of it).

•••

Weiter so, Elin!

INTRODUCING BRUNO DAYAN

WHIMSICAL FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER I SURREALER MODE FOTOGRAF

via thefashionspot Forum and materialiste

After the latest Lesmads Blogwatch post, it was mere curiosity that made me hit the button to a random forum that posted about Bruno Dayan. (After all there were 4 other links to click at. But no it had to be that one :)) Seeing these pictures I was immediately taken by storm. I just had to google him for more. And honestly, I regret not knowing about him before.
He is actually a well established Fashion photographer and has already shot campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Dior. He has been published in Vogue and Numero too.
His pictures are so inspirational. I’m in love with him and one of the reasons is his use of colors in some of his editorials. Just look at those colors! And the way he uses them.
Don’t you think that these pictures feel a bit like you are high or on a drug?
Anyway they have a huge effect on the viewer. Wonderful, sick, weird, intoxicating but yet beautiful.
This is Art.
You can see more of his amazing art on his website.

Love the way how the trinkeling snow effect on my blog gives the pictures an extra spacey effect :)

INTRODUCING CHIARA FERRAGNI BOOTS

I'm starting a new section that I'm calling Introducing. And this is the first post :) It's not meant necessarily that I'm introducing someone or something new, but people or things I just want to talk about. And I mean who doesn't know The Blond Salad?
Although her shoes are fairly new and they are freessh!

WHEN BLOGGER TURN DESIGNER I WENN BLOGGER DESIGNER WERDEN

Everyone knows Chiara Ferragni or her blog The Blond Salad or at least heard of her. She is a fashion blogger from Milan and has been blogging for about a year and a bit. Her blog has been turning out fantastic. She has 26,500+ followers and just got 37.000+ fans on Facebook too. (She really is a star in the fashion blogger world.) And recently she has designed her own pair of boots.
You Go GIRL!

The boots come in 5 different colors and can be purchased of her website chiaraferragni.com or in store - address of the store can be found on her website. I must say I'm not a big fan of the white ones, but all the other colors are so dope. Especially the red ones! These boots are so cute :)

I predict that in at least a few months everyone will know 'em, wear 'em and love 'em. And she already has one fan. Me.

She actually had a Christmas Giveaway and the prize were her new boots (ofcourse ;) ). Naturally I managed I miss the giveaway (seriously how do I always do that?? Arrgh!) else I'd be showing of my new Ferragni's. If I had won, that is ;)

But I'm not the only fan. I spotted Aimee (pronounced [Aw Mee] or Mommy without the 'M) from Song of Style (by the way also a great Blog, definitely one of my favourites :) ) sporting some Ferragni's.

For Chiara a dream has come true as she said in an interview/on her blog (I seriously need to get my sources right. Haha :) ) And I wish for her that more and more of her shoes will come and that she will truly be living her dream, if she isn't already :) Who knows, this may be the beginning of something big.

This anyway is a fabulous start. And we must admit those boots are to die for! Anyone jealous? ;)

Lois xxx

I hope that one day my blog will be as amazing as hers and that maybe one day I'll meet her at a fashion show with other fashion bloggers. But for now I need to sort out my blog. Honestly, it really doesn't look much of a fashion blog yet. No outfit post ... and whats a fashion blog without outfits and fashion? :) And I still haven't got my header sorted out. Oww!
