PREMIUM YOUNG DESIGNER AWARDS

Fashion Week started for me a day before all shows were to take place with the Premium Young Designer Awards at the F95 store. It was a small gathering of press people. The models in the winning designer's clothing posed for the cameras upon my arrival. The ceremony itself was pretty short. The Winners were officially announced, posed for one or two more pictures and after that the guest were left to enjoy the little (very delicous) buffet and drinks and browse through the shop or interview the Designers.
This is also where I met my first fashion week blogger friend of many still to come this week. :D

Fashion Week startete ein Tag bevor alle Shows stattfinden würden mit dem Premium Young Awards. Dazu wurde eine kleine Gruppe Presseleute ins F95 Store eingeladen. Als ich dort ankam, posierten die Models in Kleidung der gewinnenden Designer für die Kameras. Die Zeremonie an sich war recht kurz. Die Gewinner wurden offiziell bekannt gegeben, diese posierten nocheinmal für ein zwei Bilder und danach konnten die Gäste das (sehr leckere) Büffet und Getränke genießen, durch den Store schlendern oder die Designer interviewen.
Hier habe ich auch meine erste neue fashionweek Bloggerfreundin getroffen, eine von vielen, die ich diese Woche kennen lernen sollte. :D

If you don't have enough of money to travel the world to get to know different cultures, the Karneval der Kulturen is a nice alternative. And Berlin's diversity has a lot to offer - so many people to represent the different nations.
Sunday was my first time at the Karneval der Kulturen and I was in for lots of loud music, colors and prints, dancing and a lot of walking all the way from Südstern to Yorkstraße. Well, atleast the Ghana wagon was making it's supporters dance. It was nice to get to know more people from my country living in Berlin, especially the youth.(Funny thing is, you've met these faces years ago at random family celebrations or weddings).
And I was amazed by the massive crowd of supporters for Ghana, lots of Germans feeling at home in the Ghana crowd :)
At some point there were more Germans than Ghanaians dancing behind that wagon! Haha.

Ps.: I see that no post were posted during my stay in Florence. Oh well.. I'll just post them in the following days and the Florence pictures will be up as soon I've sorted them out :)

Wenn man nicht genug Geld hat, um die ganze Welt zu bereisen, um die verschiedenen Kulturen kennen zulernen, ist der Karneval der Kulturen eine schöne Alternative. Und Berlin's Diversität hat viel zu bieten - so viele Menschen, die die verschiedensten Nationen vertreten können.
Sonntag war mein erstes Mal beim Karneval der Kulturen und mich erwartete viel laute Musik, Farben und Prints, tanzen und viel laufen vom Südstern bis zur Yorckstraße. Naja, jedenfalls hat der Ghana-Wagen seine Anhänger zum Tanzen gezwungen :) Es war schön mehr Leute aus meinem Land, die in Berlin leben kennen zu lernen, besonders die Jugendlichen. (Lustige ist, die Gesichter hat man bereits vor Jahren bei irgendwelchen Familienfeiern oder Hochzeiten getroffen).
Und ich war sehr überrascht über die große Zahl an Anhängern für Ghana, viele Deutsche, die sich in der Ghana-Masse zu Hause fühlten. :)
An einem Punkt gab es sogar mehr Deutsche als Ghanaer, die hinter dem Ghana-Wagen tanzten! Haha :D

Ps.: Es wurde keine Posts in meiner Florenzzeit gepostet. Ach die postet ich dann halt in den nächsten Tagen und die Florenzbilder kommen sobald ich sie aussortiert habe :)

A black and white bathing suit with that opening middle! Luuuuuuuv! I don't know but I think it's so Blair Waldorf like, something she would wear showing off her gorgeous body (credits to Leighton Meester here!;) ) at an Upper East Side-Style of a Pool Party.
Like I said, forget the weird stuff going on and imagine only that gorgeous swim suit.

Vergisst das hässliche schlechte Accessoire und konzentriert euch nur auf den Badeanzug. Er ist chic, oder? Ich liebe ihn. Ein schwarz-weißer Badeanzug mit solch einer öffnenden Mitte. Luuuuuuuv! Ich weiß nicht, aber ich denke er ist so Blair Waldorf like, etwas, dass sie tragen würde, um mit ihrem hübschen Körper  (Credits an dieser Stelle an Leighton Meester! ;) ) anzugeben bei einer Pool Party im Upper East Side-Style.

btw: We've all survived the Blogger Fiasco. Some better, some worse. Luckily only some comments were deleted and a draft. I hear some bloggers lost a lot of drafts and even posts! Not good, blogger, not good.
But they say they are still in the process of restoring everything. Let's just be patient and hope.

btw: Wir haben alle das Blogger Fiasko überlebt. Manche besser, manche schlechter. Zum Glück habe ich nur ein paar Kommentare verloren und einen Draft. Ich hab gehört, dass manche Blogger sogar viele Drafts und sogar Posts verloren haben! Nicht gut, Blogger, nicht gut.
Aber Blogger sagt, dass sie noch im Wiederaufbauprozess sind. Lasst uns einfach geduldig sein und hoffen.

It's McQueen, Alexander McQueen. The secret has been lifted, Sarah Burton designed Kate's wedding dress. And it's gorgeous! Absolutely gorgeous. I really love the lace detailing with the simplicity of this dress.

Some people have been comparing Kate's dress to Grace Kelly's from 1956. Maybe it's a modern version of  Grace's dream dress. I Einige haben Kate's Kleid mit dem von Grace Kelly von 1956 vergleicht. Vielleicht ist Kate's Kleid die morderne Version von Graces Traumkleid.

Nonetheless I wish the couple a happy marriage. This is an unforgettable day for them and can you guys imagine how Kate must feel? She looks stunning today. They haven't kissed yet. Everyone is still waiting for the royal kiss.

PILLOW FIGHT FLASHMOB BERLIN

I welcomed spring in a very special way. About two weeks ago I went to the Pillow fight Flashmob at the Brandenburger Gate with my friend Lexia. Sorry I haven't posted this earlier, but I was gathering pictures from the Internet. We didn't take our cameras (would have just hindered us from maximum fun xD ) and honestly there was no need with all the photographers and video makers present. Honestly 1/3 of the crowd were just photographers! Another reason why I haven't posted this any earlier is because I have been looking for pictures and videos of myself truly ^^ There was a guy that stalked my face the whole time. He honestly held the camera inches from my face and followed me through the crowd. Would have loved to see the outcome. I should have given him my e-mail... If it should magically turn up, I will definitely share it with you guys! :D
This day was legen... wait for it ... dary! (yes I'm a How I met your Mother Fan ;) ) Afterall how many times in your life do you get to hit a crowd of complete strangers with your pillow and everyone is having fun?
And it was the first day graced with sun this year :)

Ich habe den Frühling in einer ganz besonderen Art begrüßt. Vor ungefähr 2 Wochen war ich bei dem Kissenschlacht Flashmob am Brandenburger Tor mit meiner Freundin Lexia. Sorry, dass ich das nicht schon eher gepostet habe, aber ich habe die Bilder im Internet zusammengesucht.  Wir haben unsere Kameras nicht mitgenomen (hätte nur den maximalen Spaß gehindert xD  und ehrlich gesagt, war das auch nicht nötig bei all den Fotografen und Videomachern. 1/3 der Menge waren nur Fotografen! Ein weiterer Grund weshalb ich die Bilder nicht schon eher gepostet habe ist, weil ich nach Berlin von meiner Wenigkeit gesucht habe ^^ Da war ein Typ, der mein Gesicht die ganze Zeit gestalkt hat. Er hat wirklich die Kamera Zentimeter weit von meinem Gesicht gehalten und mich durch die Masse verfolgt. Hätte gerne das Endprodukt gesehen. Hätte ihm mal meine E-mail geben sollen... Falls es magischerweise auftauchen sollte, werde ich es aufjedenfall mit euch teilen! :D
Dieser Tag war Legendär! (Hallo??? Auf Englisch ist es viel besser! xD Bin ein How I met your Mother fan :D) Denn wie oft kommt man im Leben dazu einfach auf eine Masse wildfremder Menschen mit einem Kissen einzuschlagen und alle haben Spaß?
Und es war der erste Tag, an dem die Sonne schien :)
